The Hidden Opponent is the leading non-profit organization for athlete mental health advocacy, education, and support. We provide accessible resources and unite a global community to empower athletes to prioritize their mental health and shatter the stigma within sports culture.

The idea for The Hidden Opponent started back in 2017, when our founder, Victoria Garrick Browne, gave a TEDx talk about student-athlete mental health. The video of the talk has since gained over 612,000 views on YouTube.

Our impact has only grown! The Hidden Opponent has reached millions across the globe through our social media efforts, Campus Captains and Coaches & Professionals programming, in-person workshops, and partnerships!
